Proverbs 27:17 tells us as “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.” Before we can sharpen our sword, it must first be forged. If you want to make a solid sword, it takes fire and hammering. You must stress, heat, and fold the metal, over and over. Our growth as a Christian is no different: we must be stressed and tested as we work through doctrine and scripture, building a faith that will survive.
Forged at Vail Valley aims not only to see youth come to salvation in Jesus Christ, but to develop a faith that will survive the struggles of growing up, college, and adulthood. We will walk with them and help them formulate their own spiritual convictions as they understand, apply, and delight in God’s Word.
The world is teaching our youth 24/7: they are bombarded by social media, television, YouTube, and a host of friends and teachers. It is an unending stream of influence, persuasion, and propaganda. At Vail Valley, we show our young people a better way: one of Grace, Truth, and Peace in Jesus Christ!
Our youth are not just entertained at church, but welcomed into the body of believers. They are valuable, contributing to the workings and health of the church - not just tolerated or tucked away so they are not under foot. They're surrounded by peers who care about them, leaders that disciple them, and a church body that's invested in them. This is a youth group that will see the Lord move, love flourish, and grace abound.
Forged Sunday School meets at 9:00 am, and additional fun events are scheduled approximately monthly. All youth ages 11-17 are invited!
Our staff and volunteer leaders have been screened and trained, and commit to work in pairs to ensure your young peoples' safety and well-being.
