Prayer Of Confession, January 21, 2024
O Lord, we have sinned against you who are both creator and sustainer of life. We are without excuse. We confess that each of us has sinned in thought, word, and deed, by omission and commission, transgressed your laws, and failed to fulfill your commandments. We have not loved our neighbors as we should and have not watched over the least of these your children. Forgive us, for our lack of boldness and faithless cowardice. O Lord, let us place our eyes firmly upon your Son, Christ Jesus, to heal and save our land and remove the blood guilt that stains us so. You have promised that He himself has become for us the gospel of forgiveness and new life. Let his purpose and mission be our lives this very day, by the transforming grace of your everlasting mercy. Amen
