Prayer Of Confession, January 14, 2024
O Lord our God, we confess that other lords besides you have ruled over us, but we acknowledge your name alone. For you stand at the right hand of the needy, to save them from those who would condemn them to death. And we ourselves are among them as those who stand in absolute need of you—you who have the power to heal, you who have the power to make us clean. Therefore help us, O Lord; come quickly to our aid! Save us from the power of sin, according to your steadfast love. Then let the world see the gracious favor you have shown us and know that it is your hand at work in us—that you, O Lord, have done it. For we will give great thanks to you and praise you in the midst of the great congregation! This we ask in Jesus’ name. Amen
