Prayer Of Confession, February 16, 2025
Spirit of the Living God, you have created us to know truth from falsehood and to bear good fruit that will last for eternity, yet we confess that we are often afraid to identify, expose, or admit what is false in our lives and to denounce lies when they threaten to lead your people astray, even unto death and destruction. Merciful Father, forgive our sin, our willful blindness, and the timidity that inhibits our testimony to the truth. Give us discernment, courage, and inspiration to be fully aware of your presence with us, your will for us. Give us fortitude, resolution, and true freedom, that we may be ever empowered to seek and hold fast to the straight and narrow way to life, for we know that you, our Lord Christ Jesus, are the way! This we ask in your holy name. Amen
