Vail Valley Baptist Church - Men's Ministry

Vail Valley Baptist Church Men's Ministry

Willing Hands

Sponsored and supported by VVBC’s Brothers of Iron Men’s Ministry, Willing Hands connects the able and willing men of VVBC with those in the church family needing help around the house or in their lives in a practical and physical manner. Once per quarter, the men of Willing Hands make themselves available to do yard work, hauling, handyman and minor home and auto repair and maintenance. Emergency needs will also be addressed as much as possible by contacting the Willing Hands liaison, between the scheduled work days. Our desire is to minister to those church members who do not have the ability to perform these types of necessary chores in their homes and lives, by following the guidelines specified in the Bible regarding such matters, with the ultimate purpose of testifying to the glory of God within our church family as well as within the community of Vail.

We base this ministry on the teaching of the Scriptures:

“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress…” James 1:27

"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'”.......The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'
Matthew 25:34-36,40

“If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?” I John 3:17
