Awana helps churches and parents work together to develop spiritually strong children and youth who faithfully follow Jesus Christ!

What can Awana do for my family?

The goal of Awana is to get as much of God’s Word as we can, as deep as we can, in as many kids as we can. Through scripture memory, Bible teaching, exciting awards and a high-energy game time, we present the gospel in an engaging way. We encourage children to hide God’s Word in their hearts and apply it to their lives, and give parents tools to foster discussion and help train their children in the Christian faith.

We want to help your child learn about the Bible and apply biblical truths to their life, but their ultimate spiritual training comes from you. Never forget that you have the most influence on your child’s spiritual development! That’s why we want Awana to be a tool for you to use as your child grows and matures.

When is Awana?

Starting September 7th, 2011, Wednesday nights are Awana nights! Awana meets from 6:30 to 8:00pm on most Wednesday nights from September until May and breaks for the summer. A detailed calendar will be available early August at the church Awana table and on our website. More information on registration is coming soon. Contact us for updates on this exciting ministry.

As a ministry leader for 60 years, Awana is making an impact. A recent national survey found Awana to be as important to our alumni's spiritual foundation as all other church activities combined. Among alumni who participated in our programs for at least six years, 92.7 percent still attend church at least weekly as adults!

Each week, more than one million kids ages 2 to 18 participate in Awana. Over 12,000 churches in the U.S. and more than 9,000 internationally run Awana programs that change young lives through biblical truth.
